Chickadee Creek Farm is a certified organic and certified transitional organic* vegetable, flower and herb farm. Chickadee Creek Farm, started by Jess Niederer in 2010, is located on part of our family farm. Four generations of our family have farmed in Hopewell Valley, NJ.
The 80-acre farm is on Titus Mill Road in Pennington, NJ. Jess and her crew grow on 19 of those acres, with 8 of them devoted to vegetables. The goal of Chickadee Creek is three-pronged; make a sustainable living off of the family farm, supply our community with healthy and flavorful food, and do all of this as efficiently as possible to keep costs down and to keep life enjoyable for farmers and for our customers.
The great people of Jeff's Organic Produce are so busy working on the farm, that the online presence, logo, and general marketing are not yet developed. But 12 Farms enjoys purchasing from Jeff's–primarily through Zone 7.

(Apples, Cider, Carrots–and various other fruits and vegetables) "Established in the mid-1800s, Phillips Farms began as a typical small farm in the country. We raised a little of everything. As times changed we focused on some things over the others. Recently, our farm was recognized by the state of New Jersey as part of the Garden State Farmland Preservation Trust Program. This meant our farm would be protected so that you, your children and your grandchildren would enjoy the benefits of fresh, local food for generations to come."
A family farm since 1915, the Stults Family owns, manages and are the work force on the farm. The main source of income is by direct market selling of their fruits and vegetables though "Pick Your Own" and their Farmstand. Wheat and soybeans are also grown as rotation crops.
Our farm is 200 acres of beautifully maintained preserved farmland. Our hard working farm family consists of owners Stanley and Jill Stults, along with their son Brian, his wife Jennifer and their two daughters and one son. Also making up the farm family is Stanley and Jill’s daughter Amy along with her husband Michael and their two children. The Stults Family takes great pride in their farm family heritage and in the meticulous care of their family farm.

(Stone-Ground Flours) "When able, we use local Bucks County grains and we always grind the grains fresh. We use no preservatives other than refrigeration.
After several years of working with one of our best farmers, Castle Valley Mill is delighted to bring back products made from an heirloom variety of corn from the 1800’s that was lauded for its flavor in its day."
(Sumatra Gajah Coffee, from Gayo Mountain in Indonesia) "We provide information on all of our coffees, their certifications and origin. We make sure that fair dealings and practices are being used along the supply chain for all of our coffees. We do our best to directly work with farmers and growers in the countries we source from.
We know that this earth is much larger than us and we need to do our best to take good care of it. We embrace this responsibility and think through our decisions to determine what is best for everyone involved, not just ourselves. GreenStreet is proud to be a member of the Sustainable Business Network in Philadelphia, PA."
(Various Loose-Leaf Teas) "Paromi Tea is an oasis from the ordinary. We start with exquisite, carefully selected ingredients. Then, we meticulously combine them in small batches, testing until we reach the perfect balance. We protect the artfully blended finished product in an opaque glass jar so it retains its freshness and integrity on the journey to your cup. The result is uncommon - tea that looks, smells, and tastes unlike any you have tried. Savor the escape." (From their website)

(Grass-fed Beef, Lamb, Poultry, Pork, Goat and Eggs) "Grassfed cattle live a natural, humane life with their herd. Cattle are ruminants with a digestive system designed to eat grass and forages. Of course they love to eat grain just as people love sugar. But grain is not good for cattle any more than unlimited sugar is good for people. The antibiotics that stockyard operations pump into cows are given to overcome the effects of the grain they are fed. Cattle thrive on what the food they are meant to eat – grass and forages."
(Grass-fed Beef, Veal, Lamb, Pork, Chicken, Eggs and Cheese made from Dairy Cows at the Farm) "Cherry Grove Farm is a sustainable dairy farm and creamery situated on 480 beautiful acres in Lawrenceville, New Jersey. Our goal is to make award-winning farmstead cheeses from our own grass-fed cows’ milk. With this comes a commitment to the long term health of our land. We believe in building from the soil up, which is why we work every day to ensure that our organically certified pastures are nourished and thriving."
(Beef, Pork, Lamb, Poultry) "We raise all of our animals right in Hopewell, NJ, on over 800 acres of owned and leased land.
The farm raises beef, pigs, sheep, chicken and turkeys. The animals on the farm are raised on pasture in a rotational grazing system. This means they have some access to shelter, but are primarily on the open land, moving often (sometimes twice a day!) and foraging for part or all of their diet.
Our beef and sheep are 100% grass fed. Our pigs, chickens and turkeys supplement their foraged diet with a locally grown feed of corn, soybeans, flax, alfalfa and minerals."
103 years ago, Mary Fulper moved to West Amwell, NJ, and brought one cow with her, where her family started growing vegetables. Mary’s son Norman and his wife Harriet took over the farm in 1918 and bought their first tractor in 1923. They gradually expanded the farm while milking 20 cows by hand, growing tomatoes for Campbell’s Soup, and hauling vegetables to the Trenton NJ Farmers’ Market until the late 1940s. Expansion continued through the 1950s as the latest technology was embraced in order to continually produce high quality products. Furthermore, the latest soil conservation methods were practiced to protect the soil and land. Milking 80 cows and farming over 200 acres, Norman Jr. and his brother Robert formed a partnership with their father. They installed a state-of-the-art milking parlor in 1958. Eventually, Norman Jr. moved to his own farm and Robert and his wife Sarah managed the business. They continued expansion and profound innovations. Today, Robert’s forward-thinking sons, Robert II and Fred Fulper, own and manage the farm. Producing wholesome, quality products and utilizing environmentally friendly practices continues to be of major focus for the brothers and was a driving force in the decision to convert the farm to a solar renewable operation. Now, the fifth generation is serving as key decision makers in the farm operation. Innovation and agricultural education fuel the farm’s progress. The Fulper Family sees the importance of educating consumers, especially children, about what it takes to consistently produce a safe, nutritious dairy product daily. We are excited to share our century of experience with you and invite you to support our next generation as we farm and produce local, fresh dairy products for your next generation.
Not all of our ingredients are grown in New Jersey soil. For our seafood menu items, we work with a fishing outfit that we are proud to partner with and they supply us with Jersey scallops, Gulf shrimp, and line caught swordfish.
